I first became aware of Gene Taylor photography nearly 4 years ago, when my daughter hired him to photograph her wedding. She was most interested in his ability to shoot very traditional formal portraits, as well as the more current trends toward story-telling in a photojournalistic manner. Gene was all that we had hoped for and more. Not only did we have many, many excellent photos of her special day—we were so at ease and had so much fun working with him through all stages of her engagement and wedding.
Two years ago, when I myself became a later-in-life bride, the choice of which photographer to use was obvious. He was always flexible in meeting with me, and always willing to listen to my suggestions and needs – yet full of ideas that were artistically better than mine.
The entire experience was unbelievably smooth. I never once worried that he would not be technically perfect, artistically creative, punctual, and easy to work with. As with my daughter, we had so much fun and because of this, our pictures appear more natural than I could have hoped for.
Gene now has a staff of several photographers that work with him, all very well trained and very professional. This has helped him truly capture all aspects of your wedding day.
There is so much that can cause anxiety on a wedding day, but anyone who has Gene in charge of the pictures, can just relax and enjoy their day. In my opinion, his true expertise is his ability to find, or create, the perfect light to properly capture all of the emotions and excitement of your special day, including the preparations, ceremony and reception. If there are any more weddings in our family’s future, Gene will be the first person we call. He really is the best! Patty Sanders-Reid
